Since we're tag-teaming the SOAL, we decided to share a blog as well. This blog will have pictures of our adventures and entertaining stories from our summer internship experience at Sacramento State working for the Student Organizations and Leadership Office.

Jake's Learning Objectives
- 1. Understand challenges of providing equal services to student under limited budgetary resources.
- 2. Learn Student Affairs' strategies to collaborate with Academic Affairs in serving students.
- 3. Become proficient with OrgSync online club management software as a method for integrating technology, building sustainability and maintaining strong communication with students.
- 4. Develop curriculum, assessment, training and evaluation for a leadership course as part of Academic Affairs Educational Opportunity Program's Summer Bridge.
- 5. Gain insight into the challenges facing traditionally under-represented student populations.
- 6. Work collaboratively with EOP to develop stand-alone workshop for lunch session.
- 7. Plan and conduct day-long training of peer-facilitators for Leadership Course.
- 8. Learn how to plan and coordinate logistics of a Student Leadership Conference for 150 student leaders.
- 9. Seek alternative funding sources including underwriters for Conference.
- 10. Build collaborative relationships across SA departments and programs in order to recruit and train presenters at Leadership Conference.
Emily's Learning Objectives
- 1) Become familiar with the Social Greek organizational structure.
- 2) Become a consistent user of OrgSync.
- 3) Learn to work with an office that is salary-based and has little, to no, funding.
- 4) Revise the guidelines for the "Sexual Assault Response Network."
- 5) Strenghten knowledge of campus Women's Resource Centers by working to plan a campus speaking seminar.
- 6) Assist with the restructuring and assessment of New Member Education for the Greek Student population.
- 7) Organize Move-in day for the Fall 2010 semester.
So far I have enjoyed reading about every adventure! No matter how large or small! Sounds like the two of you will be hilarious to keep up with...love the new name! Welcome to the world Jemily Sproulwitz!
